We are supporting Lifewords as they bring the Pavement Project to Chile. There are two main cost areas to this:
Training is an essential part of the programme and Lifewords runs courses for churches and organisations that wish to get involved. Initially this means flying in trainers from outside (in this case from Brazil) which means air fares, accommodation and food have to be found. In order to keep ongoing costs to a minimum they also provide additional resource to train up local trainers, and in the first training session in Temuco there were two local trainers who can now train and monitor further groups.
The main tool used for work on the streets is the Green Bag, which includes a wealth of printed resources and a tablet with the Green Bag App installed. Every participant receives one of these packs with their training and there is a cost to providing these.
